Plans
The Oregon Habitat Joint Venture's partners
work within a planning framework that links local habitat
conservation priorities to the regional goals of the Pacific
Coast and Intermountain West Joint Ventures.
A series of Oregon "focus
area" plans developed in the 1990s provide a broad overview
of wetland and wildlife resources and describe conservation
needs and opportunities in general areas identified as "target
areas" for Joint Venture action.
In 2003-04, joint venture partners also put
together an "all-bird" conservation plan for eastern
Oregon to provide a unified set of priorities for all four
of the national and international bird conservation initiatives.
Draft and completed plans are available below
in PDF format. When complete, the overall Joint Venture plan
will include individual plans for the following Oregon focus
areas:
Pacific Coast Joint Venture
Intermountain West Joint Venture
Draft versions of future plans will be posted
on this site for public review and comment as they become
available. To view these documents, you need to install Adobe
Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded free from Adobe.com.
